Chandigarh inaugurated its first shopping mall in November 2003 with the opening of the Ann Republican in Manimajra. At that time this small mall was a big thing. Now, there are 9 malls in and around Chandigarh. We examined 5 of these shopping and leisure grounds to create a unique list of the Top 5 Shopping Malls in Chandigarh.
1. Elante Mall, Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh.
Elante Mall is Chandigarh‘s largest shopping mall. It has top national and international brands.
Flint supports a wide food court. Elante has received a large number of entertainment activities. This is Ann City on the upper floor, along with many other sports activities like bowling. The mall has 8 screen PVR cinemas that are often open throughout the week. Elante being the biggest, most beautiful, and most crowded has taken over the footfall of other malls in and around Chandigarh.
.DT Mall is located in a Pash area: IT Park, Chandigarh. On the upper floor of the mall are DT Cinemas, which is a favorite among employees of many world-class companies at IT Park. DT Mall has a great shopping brand in the mall and a large food court. With only 3 floors, the mall will have a great foot and can be seen in the evening crowd.
3. North Country Mall, Mohali (Kharar)
North Country Mall is known as the largest mall in Punjab. Some of its major brands are – Reliance Fresh, Zara, Westside, Pantaloon, Lifestyle, etc. One drawback of this mall is that it is located in Kharar (Punjab), 10 km outside Chandigarh. North Country Mall has PVR Cinemas which is a favorite among the residents of the area. The mall also has some great sports and leisure activities.
4. Paras Down Town, Zirakpur
One drawback of this mall is that it is located 10 km from Chandigarh, in Zirakpur. By and large, Paras Down was the only place near Chandigarh that had a Big Bazaar. The mall has Big Cinemas on the top floor which also attracts Chandigarh Citizens Opening big brands at Paras Down Town Mall sees a good footing every day. One drawback of this shopping mall in Chandigarh is that it does not have a food court. Although it has restaurants, dominoes, etc.
5. City Emporium Mall, Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh.
City Emporium Mall is a recent addition to the list of shopping malls in Chandigarh. On top of this is the Wave Cinemafour, which fits right in. It also has a great food court on the first floor, along with a few good restaurants. A disc has also been opened at the mall recently. Despite the good interiors and the large space, no major brand has come to the City Emporium Mall. The mall has a Rolls Royce showroom which is the only showroom of a luxury car company in Chandigarh.
