Harley-Davidson has partnered with a Chinese manufacturer for a 338 cc motorcycle that it expects to deploy in Asian markets starting in China by 2020. The company announced that it is working with Qianjiang Motorcycle Company Limited to sell Harley- “smaller and accessible. ” Davidson motorcycles in China.
Motorcycles will include 338 cc displacement engines, which are smaller than anything Harley-Davidson offers in the United States, according to Fox News. The new motorcycle and its engine will be manufactured at the Qianjiang factory in Wenling City, Zhejiang Province, east China, Xinhua reported.
President Trump criticized Harley-Davidson last year after the company said it planned to move production to Europe to avoid tariffs. “We are excited about this opportunity to build more Harley riders in China, one of the world’s largest motorcycle markets, by creating new roads for our brand,” said Matt Levatich, president and CEO of Harley-Davidson.
A rendered image released by Harley-Davidson shows that the 338 cc motorcycle will vary greatly with respect to the company’s exclusive design. In 2018, Harley-Davidson said he plans to launch light motorcycles in Asia and electric bicycles around the world.

The two companies plan jointly to develop a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with 338 cc premium displacement for sale in China, and will follow other Asian markets, Qianjiang said in an announcement made on Thursday.
